The Nominees For The 2024 ARIA Awards Have Been Announced

ARIA have shared the full list of nominees for the 2024 ARIA Awards. Leading the list are Sydney duo Royel Otis, who have received eight nominations total – including Album Of The Year, Best Group and Best Rock Album for their debut album Pratts & Pain. The full list can be found below.

Dance producer Dom Dolla, meanwhile, has racked up six nominations for his platinum-certified top-10 hit ‘Saving Up’ – including for production and engineering, which were both handled by Dolla himself. Elsewhere, the unlikely pair of Kylie Minogue and Angie McMahon have both received five nominations apiece. Minogue’s nod for album of the year with Tension marks her first nomination in the category since 2002, while McMahon’s nomination in the same category is her first ever.

On the subject of first-timers, several Australian bands and artists are up for awards for the first time in their careers. This includes the likes of hardcore band Speed, hip-hop supergroup 3%, mulit-hyphenate Miss Kaninna and Sydney punk band C.O.F.F.I.N. In a press statement, ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd said that the association was “absolutely thrilled to celebrate such an incredible list” of nominees for this year’s awards.

“This year we get to celebrate a deep list of household names in Australian music that span all genres, highlighting the huge shift in positive momentum that the Australian music industry experienced this year,” she said. “It’s a time to acknowledge those who are achieving amazing things, and spotlight those who are about to, to ensure we continue this momentum forward into 2025. Congratulations to all of the nominees, their teams, and of course the fans.”

The 2024 ARIA Awards will take place at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on Wednesday, November 20th.
